Color Meters
Why do you need one?
A color meter shows the roast level of coffee using the Agtron scale. Some meters use simpler sensors to measure the average intensity of the sample's color, while others analyze the sample using high resolution sensors to display a sample's evenness distribution. Which type you need depends on the level of detail you need.

Scanning Color Meter

Single Point Color Meter
In a sample like this, it’s hard to judge roast evenness by eye. A scanning color meter reveals far more detail than you can see visually.

Here the roast non-uniformity is very obvious. To Omix and Omni, this is how all samples look.
